Council Objectives
- Undertake economic and commercial activities of public benefit that support trade cooperation between institutions and companies in Syria and Canada. These efforts aim to serve the interests of both countries and support the process of progress and economic growth.

- Provide information on the economic, commercial, and investment laws and regulations in both countries, with the aim of highlighting the full range of economic sectors and activities in Syria.
- Introduce institutions and companies from the public, private, and joint sectors in Syria to their Canadian counterparts, and encourage the implementation of economic projects that support Syria's developmental progress, ultimately establishing appropriate frameworks for all forms of economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
- Provide logistical support, including organizing joint exhibitions, conferences, and specialized forums across all economic fields; coordinating training courses and workshops; contributing to relevant events; encouraging initiatives related to economic activities; and supporting efforts that serve the process of economic development.
- Raise awareness of the economic, commercial, and investment laws and regulations in force in both countries, to highlight available opportunities in various sectors and promote openness to Canadian markets.
- Connect Syrian institutions and companies (public, private, and joint sectors) with their Canadian counterparts, and stimulate the launch of joint economic projects that align with Syria's development requirements and develop effective and sustainable frameworks for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
- Provide logistical and technical support by organizing bilateral exhibitions, specialized conferences, forums, and workshops, and encouraging private economic initiatives, thus enhancing the continuity of development activities and advancing the goals of sustainable economic development.
